- Eastern Star
is a fraternal organization for men and
- women-a part
of the "family" of Freemasonry.
- Since its
beginning in 1850, this Order now
- encircles our
world, with Chapters found throughout the
- United States
and in many foreign countries.
- The Order of
the Eastern Star is dedicated to
- Charity, Truth
and Loving-kindness. Its inspiring
- examples of
heroic conduct and moral values
- portray noble
principles which guide the members
- of the Order
in daily living, prompting deeds of
- kindness,
benevolence, charity, and peace.
- The Order is
comprised of persons with religious
- convictions,
but it is not a religion. It is respected
- for family
values; for honesty in business and life,
- service in the
community and fraternal fellowship
- among its
members.
- The Order of
the Eastern Star is many things to
- many people,
but most of all, it is a way of life.
