February, 2012 Dear Sisters and Brothers; The Grand Chapter of North Dakota would like to invite you to the “Precious Memories” Grand Chapter 118th Session to be held June 6-9, 2012, at the Seven Seas Best Western in Mandan, ND. The tentative schedule, housing information, and registration/meal forms are included with this letter which is being mailed to your Chapter secretary. The forms are also on the website, www.ndoes.org. As last year, you need send in only one check that covers both registration and your meals. We are asking our members to book their own motel rooms. Our by-laws mandate we have a “Membership” workshop at our Annual Session. This will be on Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM and we encourage all members to attend this important meeting. We will again have our ritual competition. A form is enclosed for you to fill out and mail in. We especially encourage our membership to attend the All Member Banquet on Thursday, June 7th. We would like you to join us to welcome our Distinguished Guests. Some changes have been made this year to our schedule. We listened to what you told us on the survey last year. We are having no breakfasts, except for the Men’s on Saturday, which will be held in the restaurant ordering from the menu. Another change is we are going to be having our Memorial Service right after the Vesper service. We would like our Distinguished Guests to see this beautiful service. Masonic night has been moved to Thursday evening. Friday evening will be dedicated to our Youth, only, and we plan to be done early to have some social time. A fun event will be the “Mask/Glasses Parade”, serious or funny. This will be held on Friday morning. A NEW event, we are holding a “Used Formal Attire” sale. If you have any formals that are in good condition, bring them to sell. Same for the men with their tuxedo’s, etc. This sale will be in with our hospitality room and the proceeds will go toward the OES Foundation funds. We will also continue to have the “Basket Auction” so chapters, please bring your best baskets to sell. Proceeds will again go to the OES Foundation funds.
